Why should same-sex marriage be legal?

LGBT youth living in socially liberal areas are 20% less likely to commit suicide than LGBT youth living in socially conservative areas. This coming in a country where LGBT youth are already five times as likely to attempt suicide than heterosexual youth.

A Columbia study published in the April 18 issue of Pediatrics reports all of this.

One criterium used by the researchers to deem an area “socially liberal” was the number of same-sex couples residing in the area.

Legalize same-sex marriage, Pennsylvania.
